Making the Regular Guy Beanie by Chuck Wright as found on Ravelry.
This year I am trying to knit as much as possible, and collect bulk general items for cheap, so I can create Christmas present packages for the local homeless community.
The Regular Guy Beanie was my first creation.
It’s a free pattern, and very easy to make, so check it out here and through the link above, and see what else Chuck has designed.
I don’t like DPNs (double-pointed needles), and I didn’t want to knit in the round, so I amended this patten for two straight needles.

After row 23 do you bind off then sew together?

Keep knitting 2-together, which will get rid of the rest of them. once that’s done, you can sew together. =)

Thank you for this pattern, I have been looking for a beanie pattern knitted on straight needles for what seems like forever.

No worries! I only use straight needles so I know how difficult it is to find patterns. =)
